It had been a long cherished desire of Late Poojya Swami Shreevallabhdhasji, Founder Trustee of the Ashram, to establish an ideal English medium institution for boys and girls along with the assimilation of Indian culture and fine arts in a rural area, far away from the glamorous atmosphere of the city.
Poojya Swami Shri Hariprasaddasji became the “Shishya” of Poojya Swamiji and realized the late Guruji’s dream by establishing an International Education Centre. Set up at Killapardi in 1976, the school imparts education to students from nursery to Class XII, with hostel facility for boys from senior KG to 12th standard, having the latest educational methods, backed up with modern facilities.
Ensconced in the salubrious surroundings of 50 acres of land, the school has an idyllic campus, aesthetically designed buildings, well-equipped Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science Laboratories, extensive library, audio-visual room and Kala Bhavan etc. The school also has an auditorium, swimming pool, modern health club, gymnasium, skating rink and vast playgrounds.
The school has a highly qualified, experienced and dedicated teaching staff, many of whom live on the campus.
The school is a co-educational, residential (only for boys) cum day school. The strength of the school, from nursery through XII, is 1435 out of which 525 are boarders.
The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and prepares children for All India Secondary School Examination (Class X) and All India Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII).
The school has Science stream with subjects- English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Maths, and the Commerce stream with English, Informatics Practices, Economics, Business Studies and Accounting in the Senior secondary section. The school is also a member of N P S C, New Delhi.
The school fee ranges from Rs. 8000/- to Rs 10000/-per annum for day scholars and Rs.43000/- to Rs. 47000/- for boarders.
Admissions to classes I to IX are made on the basis of a written test and interview held every year in the month of March / April. Admissions to class XI are given in June and are based on the applicants’ performance in the previous board examination.
In keeping with the best traditions of public schools, sports and games, physical education, swimming and yoga are an integral part of the school education. Within its sprawling campus, the school has vast playgrounds with excellent facilities for track and field events, games like cricket, football, handball, badminton, table tennis, volleyball, lawn tennis etc. The school has a skating rink, swimming pool.
The academic year is from June to April comprising of three semesters. The academic progress of the students is assessed by a unit test, surprise test and semester examination conducted in each semester.
Extra Curricular Activities
A wide range of co-curricular and extracurricular activities form an integral part of the school curriculum ranging from vocal classical music, tabla, band, Bharatanatyam, folk dancing, dramatics, art and crafts, painting, screen printing, glass printing, clay modeling and activities like debates, declamations, recitation, quiz, calligraphy, essay writing, extempore etc. Regular educational tours and picnics are also organized for the students. Major festivals of all religions are celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety to promote tolerance and love for all races and creeds. The middle and senior grade students are members of Science, Social Science, Craft, Maths and Gardening Clubs.
