The school is located on Chakrata road, Dehradun, just 40 minutes (21 Kms) from the railway station. The town, perched at an altitude of 2300 feet in the Himalayan foothills, within the picturesque Doon valley, is easily accessible by road and the rail, with regular and comfortable trains services from Delhi.
The campus has been set on 50 acres of land in the western doon, with classes from V to XII. The total strength of the school is 525. The following facilities have already been constructed.
The school has been developed into a self-contained well spread out educational cum residential campus. Comfortable with all amenities like scrupulously clean toilets, laundry services and a guesthouse for visiting parents. Care is taken to provide nutritious well-cooked meals prepared under hygienic conditions. A fully equipped hospital unit, filtered drinking water, full time power supply, and appropriate security arrangements are provided.
The school is a fully residential girls school and will finally accommodate 500 girls. Started in 1999 with classes V, VI and VII. The current strength of the school is about 250 and the first ICSE exam is due in 2003. The first Class XII batch will pass out in 2005.
The school is affiliated to the Council for the Indian Certificate Examinations, offering ICSE and ISC examinations in classes X and XII respectively. It will have affiliation to the council for Indian school certificate examination (CISCE) and to the Indian Public School Conference. Further affiliation options include the international baccalaureate and the GSCE and ‘A’ level examinations.

Following registration, all candidates will be notified as to the dates for entrance tests and interviews. The tests will be conducted in four written papers, namely, English, Mathematics, Hindi and General Knowledge. The minimum passing marks in each subjects will be 33.3% in the written tests and 50% in the interviews. The results will be compiled strictly on merit and the admission committee will offer seats to candidates strictly in order of merit. Candidates offered admissions, must respond to the offer within 30 days by paying the necessary admission dues and return duly signed, the indemnity agreement, the uniform measurements, tailoring chart and the students medical history form, failing which, the offer of admission will lapse.
The school provides a range of sports fields, courts and trained staff to scout for promising talent from a very young age. The school puts on a systematic physical development and training regimen, to bring out the best not only in potential athletes but in each child. The sports and physical education includes aerobics, calisthenics, martial arts, athletics, yoga, gymnastics, hockey, basketball, tennis, volleyball, badminton, table tennis and cross country running.
Extra Curricular Activities
The school has organized several programmes where the girls will spend at least 2 hours every week in any one of the following. Art, sculpture, pottery & ceramics, tie and dye, batik, carpet weaving, electronics, aero-modeling, typing, computer programming, photography, screen painting, block painting, art, music, drama debates, elocution contests, quizzes, dramatics, expeditions, mountaineering, trekking, kayaking, white water running, fishing, camping, survival skills. Visits to important areas such as research laboratories, industrial units, historical monuments, stock exchanges, printing presses, the Lok Sabha.
