Acting and Presentation

Asian Academy of Film & Television offers a course in acting and presentation. Actors are said to be puppets in the hands of directors. Thus, an actor has to perform according to a director. A producer/director uses actors as a medium to communicate their thoughts and ideas.

A professional actor plays any kind of roles perfectly. Some actors are in born while others require special training in acting. Asian Academy of film and television offers a unique course in acting. Students are taught different aspects of acting. They are given practical exercises to perform well. Since facial expressions, gestures, and body language are most important ways to communicate thoughts and feelings like anger, happiness, agreement, disagreement, acceptance, rejection, approval, disapproval, etc., AAFT students are given training to enhance these basic skills in acting.

Today, every leading actor created his/her own audiences. Actors have ability to draw the audiences to theatres. AAFT students are given training in basic skills such as verbal and non-verbal communications. Students of Acting & Presentation are facilitated learn to absorb, observe and imaginatively play a creative character.

With the help of practical exercises, students study and develop sense of truthful behaviour in fictitious circumstances. Students are given lessons in dance and music to reinforce the sense of music in speech and sense of rhythm in the movement. The purpose of practical exercise is to make students aware of their bodies as an instrument of an actor.

Apart from the practical exercises in acting and presentation, AAFT students are required to participate in the workshops, affairs and television programmes organized by the film school. Students are given an opportunity to participate in approximately fourteen productions during the training. Students are provided with a video copy of the production that can be used as a show-reel.
