Diploma in Digital Design, Term II

Asian Academy of Film and Television offers a Diploma in Digital Design. The second term of the course includes ample information on 3D graphics, Flash Development, Motion Design, Commercial Production and so on. The Contemporary Design module, includes seminars, screenings, & guest lectures, advertisement screenings & animated movies and group discussions

3D Graphics (I)
In the module, students learn basics of producing graphics in 3D space including animation, modeling, lighting, rendering with 3D software used in leading animation companies.

Flash Development (I)
Students learn about Macromedia Flash techniques required to carry interactive projects. Students apply these techniques to news events and producing a piece of interactive presentation constructed in Flash. The interactive presentation helps users to understand the subject.

Motion Design (I)
Motion design is attached with video production and graphics that is found in advertising, title sequences, music videos and info-graphics. The module aims at finding camera and lighting techniques, techniques of pre-production, sound effects, location sound procedures, voice-over recording and fundamentals of ADR. The module covers practical exercises in software including Adobe's Premiere Pro and After Effects.

Motion Design (II)
The module focuses on Motion Graphics development in audio-video by pitching a media project, developing skills in camera operations, lighting techniques, lighting instruments, creating a plot diagram, screen production, acting for animation, CG graphics, etc.

Term III

3D Graphics (II) & Game Design
The module aims at providing information on 3D graphics and its use in crafting graphics in motion and realistic production.

Flash Development (II)
The module incorporates information on how to use mobile technology to deal with problems. The fundamental includes producing a development plan, connecting website, scripting, etc.

Branding
In this module, students learn techniques including integrity, logos, style guides, implementation, and other techniques required for digital design.

Commercial Production (compositing)
The module contains information on the After Effects 3D layer form. Students are given exercises in 2D graphics with lights and cameras in 3D atmosphere. They are taught how to work with composition of various sizes, integrating footage between AE and Premiere. Students are given exercises on graphic elements, typography, photography, rhythm, video, high-class animation. Students learn title sequence for a film and television programme.

Term IV

Advanced 2D Graphics (Elective)
The module aims at providing information on advanced graphics design. Students are taught techniques to produce professional digital design.

Advanced 3D Graphics (Elective)
The module focuses on advanced 3D graphics. Students are taught advanced techniques of 3D graphics. The module includes information on advanced software used in animation industry.

Advanced Compositing (Elective)
The module is designed with the purpose of providing students with quality education in advanced compositing. It includes Radio waves, Particle Playground, Wave World, 3D space and light, camera data, 3D camera, expression controls, etc.
