Video Editing & Sound Recording
An editor's work is to deal with raw materials of a motion picture, sound cutting and modifying them to create a final project. The job of editing is creative. An editor has to assemble film and television programmes. Creative television art lies in the method of editing.
The task of editing starts in post-production process of filmmaking. The editing process includes selection and mixing of shots to form a motion picture. For effective editing, one has to arrange proper use of spoken words, sound effects and music. The editor's responsibility is to dub dialogues and match sound track with moving pictures.
Asian Academy of Film & Television offers a course in Video Editing. The course curriculum is designed with the purpose of providing quality education in the field of editing. The course helps students to understand the editing process thoroughly. The course focuses on various elements in the editing process.
AAFT provides students with advanced technology to facilitate them to work on the given project. Students are given training in these technologies used in sound and video editing. The purpose of training is to enhance their fundamental skills required for editing.
The film school gives students training to work with grade linear and non-linear advanced editing tools. The course curriculum incorporates theoretical subjects, practical exercise, and all the work that comes in the phase of film post-production. After completing the course, students work as sound and video editor in the film and television industry.
The classes of Video Editing & Sound Recording course is to be held from Monday to Friday. However, Saturdays shall be working day during productions. The following aspects of editing included in the course curriculum.
