Kerala Law Entrance Exam
Kerala Law Entrance Exam is conducted for the admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in legal education. The candidates, who are seeking admission to law courses in government law colleges at Ernakulam, Kozhikode, Thriuvananthapuram and Thrissur, are required to take the test. This test is conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, (CEE) Thiruvananthapuram.
The admission to various law programmes, for example, 5 year L.L.B. course, 3 year L.L.B. course, and 2 year L.L.M. course is totally based on merit. The candidates will be ranked on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam.
To get the admission, candidates are required to meet the eligibility criteria which are being set by the entrance commissioner. The colleges who are offering the L.L.B. and L.L.M. courses are: Government Law College Ernakulam, Government Law College Kozhikode, Government Law College Thiruvananthapuram, and Government Law College Thrissur.
The law conformity comprises of the course which leads to Bachelors Degree in legal education. This Degree is in conformity with rules which are set by the Bar Council of India (BCI) by virtue of its powers under the Advocate Act 1961. After successful completion of the course, the candidates will get the Degree and then they can apply for the post of advocate under the Advocate Act, 1961.
