RMCAAT - Rajasthan Masters of Computer Application Admission Test
Rajasthan Masters of Computer Application Admission Test (RMCAAT) is conducted for admission to the MCA programme in many Government, Aided and Private Colleges in Rajasthan that are run by the Rajasthan Technical University (RTU). Every year the entrance exam is conducted by the Rajasthan Technical University, Kota. The exam is famously known as RMCAAT. A number of students across Rajasthan appear for the test in order to get admission in recognized institutes for MCA in Rajasthan.
The Masters of Computer Application (MCA) course is being offered approximately by thirty-two institutions in Rajasthan. There are about 1800 seats and each institute has an intake capacity of about 30 to 60 seats. candidates who are seeking admission to the above said colleges/institutes are required to qualify the test. There is a regional criterion for admission: only the candidates who have a Rajasthan domicile can take the test. Candidates who are from out of Rajasthan State are not eligible to appear for the exam. There are four designated centers as listed below.
Eligibility Criteria :
The eligibility criteria are of two types: academic and domicile.
Candidates should have passed 10+2 with the subject of Mathematics and graduation that is of three years duration in any subject from any recognized university. Or
Graduation in any subject with Mathematics as one the subjects from any recognized university with minimum 50 % marks in aggregate for general category and 45 % for reserved category candidates, without any approximation in the graduate exam.
RMCAAT is only for those candidates who have a Rajasthan domicile. Rajasthan domicile status will be determined as mentioned below.
The candidates must have studied as a regular student from a recognized institution which should be in Rajasthan for five years proceeding, including the year in which they have cleared the qualifying exam. There are domicile categories as follows.
Domicile Categories :
Category - A : The Candidates he / she must be residents of Rajasthan / his or her father or mother a bonafide resident of Rajasthan. Or
Category – B : The candidates must have studied continuously as a regular student in a recognized educational institute to be situated in Rajasthan for the proceeding five years including the year in which the candidates have cleared the qualifying exam. Or
The candidate is a daughter/son of serving employee or of a retired employee of either of the categories as mentioned below.
- Corporations/Municipal Boards/Panchayat Samities/Undertakings/Improvement Trusts/Cooperative Bodies properly constituted by the Govt. of Rajasthan.
- Statutory Bodies and Corporations formed under the Indian Companies Act situated in Rajasthan.
- Government of Rajasthan (containing of officers of All India Service borne on the state cadre of Rajasthan). Or
Category – C :The candidate is a daughter/son of an employee of the Rajasthan Board or Universities in Rajasthan or Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or Govt. aided Engineering Colleges of Rajasthan who has served minimum three years on the date of submission of application in any of the bodies as mentioned above. Or
Category – E : The candidate is daughter/son of an employee of Central Govt. or Institutions of the Central Govt. consisting of Public Sector Undertakings or Corporations and who is on the regular rolls and has been serving the State of Rajasthan on the date of application. Or
Category – F : The candidate is daughter/son of an employee who is of Rajasthan origin and serving in Central/Defence Govt. Services/Public Sector Undertaking/National Institutions of Govt. of India and who has been serving for at least three years on the last date for submission of the application regardless of her/his posting place provided a certificate that is submitted by the employee from the employer to prove the State of origin and home town as mentioned by him/her at the time of joining the service.
