Symbiosis Law College is one of the most preferred law institutes in the country. It was previously known as Symbiosis Society's Law College. The college is a part of the Symbiosis International University. The university was founded in 1977 and is located at Senapati Bapat Road, Pune.
Since the college is well recognized and known for its excellence in legal education, it facilitates students to meet international level requirements. Symbiosis Law College has been ranked fourth among the top ten law colleges in India. The reason why it is most preferred law institute is that it gives every opportunity to its students to carve their future in legal education. Symbiosis is an international university. It draws attraction of every student who wants to make their career in legal education. Since there are some international law modules also available in the university, many foreign students take admission to the law courses.
As for the college campus, it's well built and has ample ground. every room is spacious and radiant. Symbiosis Law College provides all the international level needs. The objective of the college is to give quality education in the field of law. It takes care of all round development of the student. The college offers various programmes such as B.A. LLB., B.B.A., LL.B, Master of Laws and other different diploma programmes.
Admission to the above said course is based on the entrance exam. The candidate who wishes to take admission is required to appear for the entrance exam. The entrance exam is compulsory for the admission process for undergraduate programmes of these Symbiosis institutes excluding Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS) and Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT). Nevertheless, it is the first step towards admission. every Symbiosis college has its self-governing selection process.
Symbiosis Entrance Test has 5 different papers which are: General, Law, Design, Engineering, and Health Sciences. The entrance test will be conducted into two sessions, Morning and Afternoon. A candidate is allowed to appear for more than one paper. Nonetheless, he/she may finish one paper from morning session and one paper from afternoon session.
The method of instruction for entrance exam is English. Since the instruction method is learner-centric, it includes field visits, lectures, seminars, group discussion and ICT-enabled learning by the international guest faculty. Symbiosis Law College implements CGPA as a method of assessment. This assessment includes internal components of ongoing tests, presentation and assignment. As the entrance exam is said to be a bit difficult, aspirants are advised to prepare well before taking the test.
